Load the clip into VLC Media Player ( http://www.videolan.org ).





Forward to the frame you want to capture.


In the main menu, choose Video -%26gt; Snapshot.





That will save exact copy of that frame into a file (in My Documents by default).





Most DVD players including Windows Media Player actually go out of their way to prevent people from saving snapshots. Print-Screen won't work on WMP, at least for DVDs. But even if it does, you'll have to crop the file in picture editor.





Not counting professional video editors, VLC is the only program that makes it easy.How to take a clear picture from a video clip?
if you pause the video and press print screen button on you keyboard. open paint and paist it. you can then cut the image out or leave it as it is
